"Public education, coalitions and creative problem solving are our hallmarks"

Lectures

Wayne Valis gives lectures, speeches, debates and panel presentations for companies, trade and professional organizations and other groups. During the past several years, Wayne has received outstanding reviews from the National Education Association, the Learning First Alliance, the Composite Can and Tube Institute,  the American Bakers Association, Lincoln University (Lincoln, England), the Dames and Barons of the Magna Carta, the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the National Association of Elementary School Principals, among others.

Wayne combines an extremely energetic and vigorous style with large doses of humor and wit. He is deliberately provocative and treats controversial topics. He has recently had a series of debates with Democratic activists Mark Mellman and Doug Sosnik, which have been extremely well-received and popular.

Wayne’s topics have included probing analyses of every American president since Richard Nixon, serious reflections on American politics and political and economic trends, the good, the bad, and the ugly facts about the baby boomers, and a trenchant discussion of what he believes is the new worldwide non-American era. Valis believes that America is over extended in almost every way, exacerbated by the rise of new global power centers that will profoundly change the lives of Americans during the next half century. He also believes that the cultures of debt, celebrity, obsessions with the immediate in business, politics and culture, and a host of educational and cultural fads are setting the stage for major decline in American competitiveness.

Wayne Valis and Dick Schulze also do joint presentations on lobbying, the Congress, the Executive Branch, Presidents we have known, and improving the government relations effectiveness of groups.

The topics and excerpts from his recent speeches included:

June 2007 - American Politics Today: Will American Politics Survive the Baby Boomers?

April 2008 - Election 2008: “The Best of Times, the Worst of Times”

June 2008 - The Magna Carta and the Great Experiment
